World AIDS Day

#end the triple threat

World AIDS Day

World AIDS Day, designated on 1 December every year since 1988, is an international day dedicated to raising awareness of the AIDS pandemic caused by the spread of HIV infection and mourning those who have died of the disease. As the world commemorates World AIDS Day, people around the globe unite to show support for people living with and affected by HIV. The inequalities which perpetuate the AIDS pandemic are not inevitable; we can tackle them. This World’s AIDS day, as KESWA we urges the efforts towards ending AIDS to be more inclusive and diverse. The key population as well as sex workers affected with AIDS face major legal barriers including criminalisation, discrimination and stigma. We must endeavour to put a speedy, timely and immediate halt to the triple threat.
Part of KESWA's team was at Ewuaso Kedong'. The KESWA Kajiado officer took delight in explaining the comprehensive AIDS prevention programmes that KESWA implements in Kajiado to the authorities present including the CEC Health Kajiado and the Ewuaso Kedong MCA at the KESWA tent.
